On March 6, Prentiss County Deputies Kolby Knight and Jimmy Jarman were conducting a safety checkpoint on County Road 5031 at approximately 1900 hours when a vehicle approaching turned down a dead-end road.
Deputies went to check on the vehicle and after further investigation, 30-year-old Kristin Dunlap of Booneville was arrested on misdemeanor charges, and a hold was placed for investigations.
She was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Prentiss County Justice Court Judge Craig Bishop set her bond at $50,000.
North MS Narcotics Agent Grady Smith will present the case to the next Grand Jury.
