According to WTVA, the body found by the railroad tracks in Lowndes County has been identified.
Coroner Greg Merchant said that the body was identified as 62-year-old Marty Atkins.
WTVA reported that he had been living near the railroad after a home he was staying in caught on fire.
A man working on the railroad in that area found the body underneath a hunting stand around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Sheriff Eddie Hawkins said foul play is not suspected.
