The Pike County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man wanted on multiple counts of Possession of Controlled Substances, Burglary of a Dwelling, and Possession of Stolen Property.
He was identified as Cody Dean-Marler Phelps and he should be considered armed and dangerous.
On June 30, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Eastover Lane in reference to a suspicious vehicle.
The driver, identified as Cody Dean-Marler Phelps, ran away as officers arrived.
The vehicle that was left in the middle of the roadway was inventoried.
There was a substantial amount of illegal narcotics found along with multiple bags of precious metals, gold coins, and silver dollar coins that were believed to have been stolen from the surrounding area.
Detectives from the Pike County Sheriff’s Office were able to identify one of the victims a few days later, who identified some of the stolen items were taken from a house in McComb.
Cody Phelps is currently on the run and has multiple warrants for his arrest.
