JACKSON – Jackson police are investigating after a man was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday morning.
The Jackson Police Department said officers responded around 6:13 a.m. June 30 to a report of a fatality.
When officers arrived, they found a Black man who had been struck by an unknown vehicle. Police said the vehicle had left the scene before officers arrived.
The victim has been identified, but his name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Accident investigators are continuing to investigate the case.
