Ridgeland police identify couple accused in shooting on County Line Road

Ridgeland police have released mug shots of two people accused in a shooting in the parking lot of a Ridgeland business.

Police say Wednesday morning, officers responded to 911 calls in reference to shots fired near the intersection of Ridgewood Road and County Line Road. Police found a witness who said that he was leaving Beyond Therapy in Ridgeland where he was involved in a disagreement in the parking lot with a couple who were in a silver sedan.

According to Ridgeland PD, the witness and the couple both reportedly left Beyond Therapy and turned south onto Ridgewood Road. As they both turned west onto County Line Road the male suspect fired several shots from the passenger seat of the silver sedan in the direction of the victim. No one was injured in the assault.

Investigators have been interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence.

The driver was identified as Lillian Johnson, 22, and the passenger has been identified as Larry Knight, 25. Both are from Jackson. Johnson is in custody for accessory after the fact to aggravated assault. Knight is charged with aggravated assault. Both suspects were arrested in Jackson at the Forest Ridge Apartments on Beasley Road.

They will be held without bond until they are brought before a Ridgeland Municipal Judge.
