Four people were arrested on drug related charges in Lee County earlier this month.
According to a release on the Lee County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook, Terry Lynn Freeman, 34; Jeffrey Dalton Christian, 56; Sonya Rhea Thompson, 44; and Jeffry Lamar Phillips, 59, were all arrested as a result of an undercover operation by the Lee County Sheriff’s Department, the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit, and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics in Verona, which is in Lee County.
During the operation, a half-pound of methamphetamine was seized. Additionally, $1,188 was seized from Freeman and $2,518 from Christian.
Freeman was charged with aggravated trafficking of a Schedule II controlled substance (Methamphetamine) and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Freeman’s bond is $75,000.
Christian was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Methamphetamine) and two Capias warrants for possession of methamphetamine and heroin out of Lee County. Christian faces $55,000 bond on the Capias warrants and $5,000 for the possession charge.
Thompson was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Methamphetamine). Bond was set at $5,000.
Phillips was arrested on an MDOC warrant.
