Showers Possible Friday as Ida Heads for the Gulf Coast

Scattered showers and storms are possible today across Central Mississippi, with highs in the low to mid 90s. Partly cloudy skies are expected.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Ida is expected to grow into a major hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico this weekend, bringing 5-8 inches of rain to Central Miss in the Elevated threat area, while 3-5 inches of rain will be possible with the Limited threat.

Potential Flooding Sun-Tues
