According to Capitol Police Spokesperson Bailey Martin, on January 25th, 2024, around 4:00 p.m., Capitol Police officers observed a vehicle matching the description of a stolen vehicle near Ellis Avenue.

When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver led them on a pursuit down multiple streets through Jackson and Interstate 55.

When officers lost sight of the vehicle, the pursuit was suspended, and no injuries were reported.

Officers were notified shortly after of the vehicle being parked at an apartment complex in Jackson.

No arrests have been made at this time and anyone with any information is asked to call Capitol Police at 601-359-3125.
