A Yazoo city pool hall has been shut down temporarily after two people died from gunshot wounds.
Police Chief Kenneth Hampton tells WLBT the shooting occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday at Junior’s Bar and Lounge on Broadway Street.
Hampton said the suspect was causing fights in the club, and witnesses said he may have been on drugs. He was asked to leave, and as he was escorted out, he asked to use the bathroom.
Police say he came out shooting. A bystander and the suspect were both shot and later died.
