A 24-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday night on Washington Avenue in Moorhead.
Around 10:30 p.m., Sunflower County Coroner Heather Burton was dispatched to the scene regarding a homicide victim.
The victim was identified as Dwayne Jacquarious Gray, Jr. of Moorhead. Gray suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moorhead Police Chief Fred Randle said the matter is under investigation.
Gray’s body has been sent to the Mississippi Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy in accordance with the law.
