Several volunteer fire departments responded to a structure fire on Tuesday evening in Drew.

A post from the Ruleville Volunteer Fire Department says Drew, Ruleville, LSR, District 8, Bolivar County Ladder One, Sunflower County Fire Coordinator and 2 Deputy Coordinators responded to an abandoned commercial structure fire where heavy fire and smoke were visible from miles away.

Authorities put out a Facebook post asking that citizens who might see the smoke and fire not to follow the fire trucks and enter the scene.
