The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a Copiah County teen over the weekend.
Troopers say on Saturday around 1:45, a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling north on Highway 27 near Mitchell Road when the driver lost control and the vehicle flipped. Three people were ejected in the impact.
Nicholas Derouen, 17, of Wesson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Mare Rogers, 19, of Utica, and passenger, Brandon Runyan, 26, of Wesson, were taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson with unknown injuries.
