The Flowood Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Interstate 55 Saturday.
There is a 1/8 of a mile stretch of I-55 just North of the stack that is within the city limits of Flowood. The police department received a call to that area around 2:30 Sunday morning that someone had pulled up beside a car and shot into it, striking the passenger.
