A 15-year old in Edwards is recovering after he was shot five times on Tuesday.

Police Chief Terence Crump told reporters that Courtney Hodge was shot while walking on Wither Street. That’s when shots were fired from a tan Chevy Malibu.

The Vicksburg Daily News is reporting that Hodge is at UMMC, being treated for gunshots to the leg and abdomen. He is currently listed in critical condition.

Crump said the suspect vehicle was last seen on HWY 467.

The chief told WLBT that authorities have a possible suspect that a witness was able to provide, and they are looking for that individual now.

The investigation into this crime continues. As we learn more, we’ll keep you updated.
