The Wreaths Across America Mobile Educational Exhibit Nationwide tour is in Central Mississippi this weekend as their first stop. The exhibit will be at Jackson Academy on Friday 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., and Liberty Park in Flowood on Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is free to the public.
The demonstration is a rolling interactive exhibit that has a very specific purpose: remember the nation’s fallen veterans, honors those who serve, and teaches the next generation about the value of freedom.
The National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution hosts the tour. We spoke to Martha Denny -Region for the Magnolia State Chapter in Ridgeland, and Brigadier General Joe D. Hargett about why the mission is important.
