A 20-year-old worker was killed while working on a grain bin in LeFlore County Thursday.

According to LeFlore County Coroner Debra Sanders, 20-year-old Eugene Nicholas from the Republic of South Africa.

Workers were in a grain bin on County Road 286 close to the Sunflower County Line working in a bin that had been stopped up on Wednesday and suddenly the contents of the bin began to flow freely and buried all three. The cutoff switch was activated but the grain that was still flowing continued to empty on top of them.

Two other workers were rescued, but Nicholas died in the bin.
