According to a report from WLBT, a woman was kidnapped Thursday night during a domestic incident.

The incident happened between a man and a woman. The woman was from Simpson County.

Copiah County Sheriff Byron Swilley said that he believes the two people involved were boyfriend and girlfriend.

The report states that the man took his girlfriend against her will. Simpson County deputies soon alerted Copiah County deputies of the situation.

A Copiah County deputy pulled the couple over on Ruby Road at Gatesville Road and the female victim is now safe. She had minor injuries.

The male suspect ran from the scene. Sheriff Swilley said that he does not believe the man is armed and dangerous.
