Cherokee Bell has been arrested on several burglary charges, according to Sheriff James Moore.

Bell allegedly attempted to break into the Dollar General in Preston, on June 22.

She reportedly tried to smash the store’s glass doors with bricks and other objects during the early morning hours.

After being unsuccessful, she moved to the back of the building and attempted to disconnect the power, but that effort also failed.

The following day, on June 23, Bell is accused of breaking into Bluff Springs Baptist Church, where she rummaged through cabinets and drawers, throwing items around.

She allegedly took a flat-screen television but abandoned it in a ditch just 20 yards from the church.

Bell is facing two charges: Attempted Burglary of a Commercial Building with a bond set at $20,000, and Burglary of a Commercial Building (Church) with another $20,000 bond, totaling $40,000.
