A manhunt ended Sunday after authorities apprehended escaped inmate Todd Riley, according to Sheriff James Moore.
Riley escaped from the Kemper County/Newton County jail on Thursday, the sheriff said. His MDOC page says he was serving time on burglary charges and a felon in possession of a firearm charge.
According to Moore, Todd Riley was spotted on Jiggs Chatham Road in Lauderdale County on Saturday around 3 a.m. Sources say that he left in a stolen pickup truck from Kemper County.
Around 4 a.m. Saturday, Riley was spotted on a game camera in the Concord Rd area in Choctaw County, Alabama.
Law Enforcement agencies from both states searched all leads from both areas.
On Sunday, Moore posted a photo of himself with Riley, and promised more information as it is available.
