On Tuesday, March 19, the Jackson Police Department began investigating a shooting incident that happened on Whitehaven Drive.

Detectives learned that a woman had been shot at this address.

After a thorough investigation, police learned that the victim was shot by her daughter April Hughes.

Hughes was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder.
