On August 25, a woman was arrested for allegedly selling drugs near a fast-food restaurant where she worked in Richland.
According to the Richland Police Department, Brandi Jo Luke was arrested at a local fast food restaurant for the sale of methamphetamine within 1500 feet of a school, sale of a schedule IV controlled substance within 1500 feet of a school, and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
A recent investigation, led by the Richland Police Department FLEX unit, uncovered the drug operation, where Luke was selling/distributing narcotics, while she was at work at the local fast food restaurant.
Police said on one occasion, she offered to sell/distribute the narcotics from the drive-thru window of the restaurant, while she worked.
Due to the seriousness of these crimes and to ensure the safety of our schools and citizens, the Richland Police Department used many resources to safely affect the arrest.
Every division inside the Richland Police Department assisted in this case: The patrol division, the criminal investigations division, the Special Response Team, along with the FLEX/Narcotics division.
Also, the Richland Police Department’s drone, aka UAV, played a major role in assisting with surveillance in this case.
If convicted of all three of these charges, Luke is facing a maximum of 31 years in prison. Luke does have a previous felony conviction as well.
