On Saturday, February 17, the Jackson Police Department began investigating a child abuse case that occurred in the 100 block of Blackmon Rd.

Detectives learned a 1 year child had been seriously injured at the address.

On Sunday, February 18, suspect 19-year-old Amya Cage was arrested and charged with Felony Child Abuse and Felony Child Neglect in connection to this case.
