Rain showers and thunderstorms will occur today as a weather system moves across the area. Highs will be in the 50s and lower 60s.

According to the National Weather Service, rain will transition to snow across portions of far northeast Louisiana, southeast Arkansas, and central and northern Mississippi late tonight into Sunday morning.

Some accumulation is likely in these areas, with amounts of up to 2 inches possible. The highest accumulation is more likely to occur in the Delta region.
