There’s a chance for showers today across the region with cloudy conditions in the southeast. Highs will range from the upper 30s in the Delta to upper 50s and 60s in the southeast.
Freezing rain Overnight will continue into Thursday morning across portions of northwest Mississippi. Ice accumulations will be highest on elevated surfaces, including bridges and overpasses. Areas within the highlighted Elevated Risk, approximately northwest of a line from near Greenwood, MS to Bastrop, LA, could see additional icing up to 0.25 inches, with most substantial ice accretion totals up to 0.5 inches. This could cause large limbs and small trees to fall as well as sporadic power outages.
