A person was shot to death on Barnes Street Wednesday night, officials said.
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart has confirmed the fatal shooting, which isn’t far from Jackson’s most recent prior homicide
It’s just a short distance from the city’s most recent homicide a few days ago. Two people were shot on North State Street last week, one fatally.
So far officials have not released the identity of the victim.
