Jones County Sheriff’s Department deputies and investigators pursued a wanted subject on foot into a wooded area on Tuesday afternoon on Carter Dees Road in the Hebron community.

Jermaine Ross, age 36, was wanted on a Jones County Justice Court warrant and fled on foot when spotted by JCSD Deputy Xavier Thigpen and Deputy Jared Hutto. Additional JCSD units responded to the area and established a perimeter around the wooded area. Ross was later located by deputies Thigpen and Hutto within the perimeter and taken into custody. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct in addition to his arrest on the outstanding Justice Court warrant.

Jermaine Ross is incarcerated in the Jones County Adult Detention Facility pending his initial appearance in Jones County Justice Court.
