Deputies with the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vandalism report Sunday morning on County Road 541, where they discovered extensive damage to multiple vehicles.

Upon arrival, deputies found that several tractors, trucks, antique vehicles, and heavy equipment had been vandalized.

The damage included broken glass, grease smeared over vehicles, and footprints on hoods and windshields. The perpetrators also stole ignition keys and discarded them in nearby woods.

Many of the affected vehicles were antique and considered irreplaceable.

Deputies and investigators, who collectively have over 50 years of service, described the scene as unprecedented in terms of damage.

The initial estimate of the damage is upwards of $50,000.

In the early hours of the investigation, deputies detained two juveniles.

Evidence at the scene led to a local residence, where a suspect was identified and detained.

Another juvenile was subsequently picked up for questioning.

Both are currently being held in a detention facility pending intervention by Youth Court.
