On March 25, the Greenville Police Department responded to the area of Ohea and Shelby Streets in reference to shots being fired in the area.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a victim, who was identified as 47-year-old Kelvin Rancifer (of Greenville) who had been shot.
Suspects from this incident attempted to flee on foot from the area but were shortly apprehended not far from the crime scene.
The suspects were identified as 16-year-old Myles Williams, and 17-year-old Jakereian Cannon, both of Greenville. Police have not yet released a motive for the shooting.
Both Williams and Cannon have been charged with First Degree Murder and are currently being held in the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility awaiting their initial appearance.
Williams and Cannon are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
