Two surrender to police in shooting death of Rankin County man

According to a press release from the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, two people have turned themselves in in the shooting death of 20-year-old Bryson Horne.

Around 12 p.m. Tuesday, Ryan Scott Duette, 20, of Brandon, Lainey Bella Ingle, also 20, of Brandon went inside the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office and turned themselves in. They said they had been involved in an argument with Horne.

Guns were found in the vehicle they were driving. Duette is charged with murder, and Ingle is charged with accessory after the fact of murder. Both will go before County Court Judge David Morrow for their initial appearance.

Bryson Horne is the brother of 14-year-old eighth-grader Cameron Horne-Crook, who was fatally shot in Jackson last month.
