On January 16, at 7:00 p.m., Tupelo police were called to Belk on Barnes Crossing for two shoplifters who had been detained by loss prevention.
37-year-old Lacandria Elliot and 24-year-old Alexis White (both from Starkville) were alleged to have stolen over $2,100 in merchandise.
After a thorough investigation, detectives charged both suspects with Felony Shoplifting.
On January 18, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir set their bond at $10,000 each. This case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
