Two people were killed in a wreck on Friday evening, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
MHP said that the crash happened on Highway 11 in Pearl River County around 11:45 p.m.
A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 35-year-old Gail Fontenot, 35, of Picayune, MS, and her passenger 29-year-old Jose Cardenas, of Picayune, MS, was traveling South
on Highway 11. The Silverado left the road and collided with a tree. Gail Fontenot and Jose Cardenas both died from the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patro
