Two jailed over slashed tires in Oxford

Two people have been jailed in Oxford after authorities say they caused damage to another person’s vehicle.

On March 17th, 2024, the Oxford Police Department responded to a call reporting malicious mischief in the 100th block of Heritage Drive. A car’s tires were slashed, causing over a thousand dollars worth of damages.

Upon review of camera footage at the location and surrounding area, and further investigation, Lisa Phillips, 22, of Dallas, TX, and Ashton Arterberry, 20, of Dallas, TX were each arrested and charged with Felony Malicious Mischief.

Phillips and Arterberry were taken before a Municipal Court judge for an initial bond hearing and were each issued a $4,000 bond.
