Two Arrested in Connection with Homicide at Kirby Estates Apartments

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two individuals in connection with the homicide of 38-year-old Vandarren McCray, which happened on Monday night, September 2, at Kirby Estates Apartments.

A search warrant was executed Wednesday at 4:12 p.m. at the Kirby Estates Apartments in Robinsonville. The two suspects were taken into custody without incident. They were also wanted on outstanding warrants from Texas and Louisiana.

30-year-old Tanio Hall, was arrested on outstanding warrants from Texas for a weapon offense and failure to appear. Tavion Crutchfield, a 23-year-old male, was arrested on outstanding warrants from Louisiana for false imprisonment and battery of a dating partner with child endangerment.

The investigation into McCray’s homicide is ongoing. Authorities ask anyone with information to contact the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office at 662-363-1411.
