Two arrested in Pike County shooting

On November 22, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about someone who had been shot in the 7000 block of Highway 48 East in Pike County.

Deputies arrived on the scene and began administering life-saving aid to the victim, who was identified as Ricardo Weathersby.

The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital and is in critical condition right now.

After a thorough investigation, detectives developed a person of interest, Adrian Mechelle Goodwin from Magnolia. They knew that they had an unknown accomplice in the shooting.

Later that same day, Goodwin and Kentrail Magee of Osyka Mississippi were found at 1055 Hwy 570 East, in Summit.

Detectives executed a search warrant at the home and a gun was recovered.

The firearm is believed to be the same gun used on Weathersby.

Goodwin and Magee were both arrested and booked into the Pike County Jail and charged with Attempted Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Attempted Murder.

Magee is currently out on an Attempted Murder charge for an incident that happened on January 6, 2022.

All suspects are proven innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
