Vehicle Fled The Scene After Hitting Bicyclist In Tupelo

On March 5, at approximately 7:00 p.m. Tupelo Police officers responded to the 1000 block of East Main Street for a cyclist who had been struck by a vehicle.
Officers spoke with an adult male who said he had been hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on East Main.
The unidentified driver of the vehicle did not stop after colliding with the cyclist.
The victim was transported by ambulance to NMMC with non-life-threatening injuries.
This collision is under investigation and more information may be released when appropriate.
