Tuesday Weather: Extreme heat continues, rain today cools things off

Dangerous heat will continue through the remainder of the week. Today mainly along and south of I-20, and Wednesday-Friday mainly west of I-55 and the river and HWY 49. Heat related illnesses remain likely with prolonged outdoor exposure. Frequent cooling and hydration breaks are recommended when working outdoors.

Thunderstorms are likely, especially this morning. It will be hot once again south of I-20 with temperatures in the mid 90s, while north, temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 80s.

Isolated storms will be possible overnight in the far northern areas. Otherwise it will be partly cloudy with low temperatures ranging from the low to upper 70s.
