Tuesday Weather: Hot with Scattered showers & storms

Today we will see scattered showers with some thunderstorms from mid morning into the afternoon, with high temperatures in the lower to mid 90s.

Some showers will stay around over night, with temperatures falling into the 70s.

From the NWS: The combination of heat and humidity will reach dangerous levels Tuesday through Saturday of this week, with significant heat stress expected late week into early weekend. Heat indices will reach the 106 to 110 degree range for much of the area, while in the 111 to 115 degree range in the northwest Delta on Friday and Saturday. Residents should avoid prolonged outdoor activity, especially from the late morning through the afternoon.
