Three suspects were arrested early Sunday morning after trying to evade Smith County Deputies, resulting in a crash.

On September 25, around 1:00 a.m., Patrick Francis Jr., Malik Ducksworth, and Travis Keyes were arrested in the Taylorsville/Summerland area and charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute While In Possession of a Firearm.

Patrick Francis Jr. was currently out on a Felony bond for Aggravated Assault that The Smith County Sheriff’s Department worked on.

Sheriff Joel Houston said,

“We have zero tolerance for drugs in Smith County, and we will continue to work hard to keep it out of our county. I want to thank my men that work hard around the clock to keep our county safe.”
