Three Arrested After High Speed Chase, Shooting At Lafayette County Deputy

Three people were arrested by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department after a shooting incident.

On April 5th, early in the morning, deputies responded to a call about an alarm at TGC Outdoors on Highway 7 North in Lafayette County.

A deputy who happened to be in the area noticed a vehicle leaving the business and conducted a traffic stop.

While trying to stop the vehicle, the occupants of the vehicle opened fire on the deputy before driving northbound on Highway 7.

The suspects managed to escape into Marshall County and a chase ensued.

The suspects ultimately evaded the deputy.

Sheriff Joey East thanked the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Holly Springs Sheriff’s Department, and Oxford Police Department for their quick response and collaborative efforts in helping with the search and arrest of the suspects.

After an extensive search, the suspects, Shoundarius Bogard, Mykial Penilton, and Montrell Ramsey, were all found and taken into custody. Multiple firearms believed to be connected to the incident were recovered.
