Storm Shelters Opening In DeSoto County Ahead Of Severe Weather

Storm shelters are opening in DeSoto County as severe weather is expected this evening.
Beginning at 4:00 p.m. today, Friday the 31st, the following locations will be open for anyone needing shelter from severe weather:
  • Southaven Community Safe Room
  • Hernando Elementary
  • Horn Lake Elementary
  • Hope Sullivan Elementary
  • Lewisburg Elementary
  • Walls Elementary
These locations will remain open until the severe weather threat is over.
A shelter will also be open at Olive Branch Elementary, 9549 Pigeon Roost Road, Olive Branch, MS 38654
