The Oxford Police Department not only helps humans but also the furry, four-legged residents of the city.
Officer David Mahaffey heard a strange noise when he was getting into his vehicle at his house. When he looked underneath, he noticed a tiny stray kitten.
He tried but was unable to get the kitten out.
The guys at the Oxford City Shop came to the rescue and were able to help the officer free his tiny friend.
They ended up deciding to adopt the cat and the stray kitten now has lots of love and a new home with the City Shop.
