Hundreds of thousands of water bottles were distibuted and purchased in the community, leaving many that were not recycled.
Blackburn Middle School held a contest to see who could collect the most empty water bottles to recycle. They called this, the water bottle challenge.

The top 3 scholars and educators who collected the most bottles won cash prizes made possible by Dr. Juanita Sims-Doty.

25,608 bottles were collected by the middle school in total. We love to see Mississippians making a positive contribution to the community.
