The Starkville Police Department posted on Facebook saying that Starkville High School is on modified lockdown after a social media threat.

The threat had to do with the area around the athletic complex on campus.

Starkville Police Department and school administrators are working to make sure students and staff are safe.

The police department said they are also aware of a video circulating on social media depicting a fight at Starkville High School today.

They said that their department and the Starkville-Oktibbeha Consolidated School District are actively investigating this situation.
