The victims of a Saturday morning plane crash have been identified.
WTVA reports that the incident happened around 8 a.m. Saturday. St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo identified them to WTVA as Dr. Charles Montgomery and Patrick Fain.
Montgomery was a doctor at North Mississippi Medical Center specializing in hematology and oncology, and Fain was his pilot.
The plane barely avoided the Army Aviation Support Facility, which located next to the airport runway.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
