Richland police arrest man allegedly trying to sell drugs in store bathroom

These drugs were allegedly found on Fredrick Tyrone Hart after he allegedly tried to sell drugs in a store bathroom.

The Richland Police Department arrested a man Wednesday on drug charges after he tried to sell drugs to an undercover officer in a department store bathroom.

According to RPD, Fredrick Tyrone Hart, 34, of Jackson, has been charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Police say Hart went to the department store to meet with an undercover narcotics investigator in the restroom to sell 12 dosage units of Fentanyl. After investigators arrested Hart, he was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy pills.

Hart has nearly 20 arrests on his criminal history, at least 3 prior felony convictions including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of cocaine. Hart is currently on parole for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
