A Raleigh High School Football player was killed in a crash on Highway 18 near Sylvarena early Wednesday morning.
According to Trooper Moore, with MHP, the call came in 3:54 a.m.
There was a two vehicle crash involving a 2014 Kenworth 18 wheeler and a Chevrolet Avalanche, unknown year and model.
The two vehicles collided on Highway 18 near Sylvarena. The driver of the Avalanche died in the crash. The driver of the 18-wheeler received minor injuries.
Trooper Moore identified the victim as 17-year-old Isaiah Strickland of Louin, MS.
