Two convicted in Quitman County double homicide for the second time

Keith Coleman Jr. and Jayme Lynn Tubbs

The families of Will Polk and April Jones finally have an answer… Again.

Keith “K2” Coleman and Jayme Lynn Tubbs have been convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison in the gruesome beheading and dismemberment killings for the second time after the retrial last week.

The four-count indictment accused them both of first-degree murder and desecration of a corpse in both Jones’ and Polk’s deaths. Each defendant got a three year sentence for the desecration charges.

In dealing with jury instructions, there was quite a bit of discourse as to whether manslaughter should be allowed as a verdict as well.

Emily Williams will have more on this case shortly. Check back for more.
