A police chase down I-55 this morning ended in a crash and an arrest, according to Terry Police Chief Michael Ivy.
Ivy says an officer attempted to pull a vehicle over in Terry when the driver sped off.
Hinds County and Terry units then pursued the driver down I-55 to just south of Savanah Street where the vehicle hit a truck and crashed.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital in unknown condition, while the suspect was arrested at the scene. He has not yet been identified.
Officials say the driver was carrying a felony amount of drugs in the vehicle.
