Over 4,000 Pickle lovers flocked to the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum for the third annual Pickle Fest on Saturday.

Around 80 vendors were spread across the 40 acre museum. Kids could enjoy five inflatables and a dunking booth.

There were also pickle eating and packing competitions. The winners of those competitions received a belt and gift basket.

The winner of the pickle eating competition, Jennifer Gunn said “I feel so great! I’m so enthusiastic! I got all the free pickles I wanted and I’m on top of the moon right now.”

According to AG Museum marketing and events specialist, Justin Nipper, The event began in 2019 and has continued to grow every year since.

“It started here in the office as a small joke and the right people heard it. It was a fun opportunity and decided to make this something special,” Nipper said.

Pickle Fest was sponsored by the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum Foundation, Visit Jackson, Chick Fil A Byram, Southern Beverage Company, and Cathead Distillery.
