On July 24th, the Picayune Police Department responded to two separate locations in reference to a large fight at both locations.
They said that they are aware of things verbally escalating again through social media and video chats today.
The police department said they are taking notes of who is using these means to create animosity and intending to instigate further violence. This includes several adults who have become verbally involved and made statements of violence.
The police department warned,
“Adults please remember that you can and will be held legally liable where appropriate for what juveniles do. The city has an ordinance in place regulating a curfew for juveniles. It is 11 P.M. Sunday-Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday. These curfew times will be enforced. Any juveniles found in public areas after these times without their legal parent /guardian will be arrested.”
